GREEN BEER RACES MARCH 14th
Ladies and Gents, I am happy to inform you that we have partnered with the Eastport Democratic Club, Maritime Republic of Eastport, COG (Chesepeake Outdoor Group) and MIller Lite To bring you THE GREEN BEER RACES on March 14th.
The Event will include a series of relay races in which contestants will carry Green Beer on plates with the intention to not spill a single drop all the while completing a team course as fast as possible. The competition works like the NCAA Bracket and will consist of 30+ teams facing off in a single elimination setting. Two men and Two women per team. We will also have live music at the event and a keg toss competition for both the men and the women.
Background: According to legend, The Green Beer Races were held at city dock. They would close off the street and have the races in front of the bars. 5000 plus people would attend. People met their future wives and made lifelong friends.
When everyone was having the time of their lives what happened? Where did the merriness go? Very simply, the yuppies came in and tried to ruin our town. They pushed the Green Beer Races completely out of our city. Ladies and Gentelmen it is Back.
Next Year we take back City Dock with the biggest keg tossing beer chugging festival the city has ever seen!
