Drink for thought....Fidencio Mezcal.

Mezcal.....What is it?  I had the opportunity to attend a tasting for Fidencio Mezcal last night at Oyamel in Washington DC....awesome!   Mezcal was not a liquor that I was familiar with, so I was not sure what to expect.  Mezcal is a Mexican distilled spirit made from agave plants.  Fidencio Mezcal was extremely smooth, aromas of pears & kirsch and finishes soft yet spicy.  It was nice just to sip with dessert and it seemed to mix well with so many different ingredients like lime, banana, mint & coffee...my favorite!  Its on the shelf at Level in Annapolis & all of Think Food Group restaurants in DC, so check it out!!
